The Demise of the Drexel North

Closing Day: May 25, 1995


The Drexel North closed on May 25, 1995 with an 8:00 PM farewell screening of the first film that played there 54 years earlier, Tin Pan Alley. In addition to the feature, the audience was treated to an assortment of classic cartoons and Technicolor previews provided by local film collectors Eric Spilker and Ken Smith. Approximately 380 people were in attendance for the event.
